Subsidence Engineer (Desk-Based) - Remote WorkingJob Market - Insurance ClaimsSubsidence Engineer - About the roleMy client are currently seeking a professional Subsidence Engineer to join their team on a full-time permanent basis, based from home.Subsidence Engineer - Key dutiesProvide professional subsidence service in connection with domestic and commercial buildings insurance claims.Manage own portfolio of domestic and commercial subsidence claims ensuring service levels are metSettling / declining claims within our delegated authority limitDeal with the appointment and management of third-party suppliers, such as Arboricultural consultants, site investigation suppliers, drainage repair companies etc, driving claims to settlementDeal with surveyors and audit surveyor reportsUpdating and creating building repair schedules using our in-house schedule of ratesSubsidence Engineer - Key requirementsHold an appropriate professional building qualification such as MICE, MRICS, MCIOB, MIStrucE, MCABE or progressing towards this, QBE is considered.Detailed knowledge of structural defects affecting buildingsAbility to diagnose the cause of damage without visiting, based on information collected by othersDetailed knowledge of subsidence engineering / surveyingExperience of the insurance industry and understanding of insurance liability
