Job Description

Your new roleStrategic Supplier Quality Manager - Strategic SupportJob RoleTo contribute to the achievement of Strategic Procurement Division objectives by taking ownership of shaping and developing activities that improve the performance of the supply chain.What youll be doing

  • Drive quality and supplier performance improvement for assigned suppliers. Own supplier results, enhance best practice utilising established quality tools. Perform supplier assessments and review supplier audits when necessary, ensuring compliance and drivingimprovement plans where interventions are needed.
  • Managing and building effective relationships with key internal and supply chain stakeholders to promote and support performance improvement activity.
  • Ensure the management of supplier quality development in line with sourcing strategy to achieve the desired supplier performance is met as per the target.
  • To work with suppliers to ensure that robust process controls are in place to prevent non-conformities, to continuously monitor suppliers processes including key manufacturing processes and quality management system for improvement opportunities and managesupply processes e.g. manage shortages.
  • Implement improvements utilising Lean methodologies, supplier scorecards and own supplier audit, ensuring supplier compliance, whilst advancing systematic problem solving and process improvement plans to deliver value
  • Track the suppliers key performance indicators, based on their scorecards and rankings, to facilitate and develop the supply bases ability to consistently meet or exceed defined expectations
  • Create and deliver opportunity cases for business change initiatives in response to the outputs of the Contract Performance Framework (CPF)
  • Evidence based recommendations for prioritisation of improvement areas and associated proposed solutions.
To be successfulExperience & Technical Skills Required
    • The candidate requires experience of working within a supply chain development background, delivering and implementing supply chain improvement projects.
    • Industry experience in Manufacturing, Industrial, Automotive, or Aerospace.
    • Sound knowledge of Microsoft Office.Sound knowledge and experience of APQPAuditing skills as per ISO9001:2015, TS16949:2016.
    • Application of quality management tools and techniques.
    • Good knowledge of quality systems and sourcing business processes.
    • Good Project Management skills.
    • Willingness to take responsibility and drive the solution of complex problems.
    • An ability to operate strategically and at times tactically where appropriate
    • A proven track record of working collaboratively with a range of stakeholders to improve supply chain performance
    • Should hold or be willing to work towards the Chartered Institute of Purchasing and Supply (CIPS) Diploma in Procurement and Supply qualification (or equivalent).
