Job Description

Job:Strategic Relationship Account ManagerLocation:Birmingham, HybridSalary:£45,000As a Strategic Relationship Account Manager, you will report directly to the Head of SRM (Strategic Relationship Management) and work collaboratively across the West Midlands region.Your primary responsibility will be to plan and execute an engagement program with companies of strategic importance within the West Midlands, contributing significantly to the successful delivery of the Top500 program. This role will involve hybrid working,with our Birmingham office as the principal place of work, and some regional travel.Main Responsibilities and Key Activities:

  • Be the professional and knowledgeable point of entry for stakeholders into the region.
  • Establish and nurture relationships at the C-Suite level within both private and public sectors, leveraging your commercial awareness.
  • Utilise your expertise in West Midlands key sectors to provide valuable insights during C-Suite dialogues.
  • Collaborate closely with public sector stakeholders, including Local Authorities and Department of Business & Trade teams, to support managed accounts.
  • Develop and execute intelligence-led account management plans.
  • Ensure prompt follow-up and resolution of actions arising from client engagements.
  • Efficiently use CRM systems to evaluate and track activity for all managed accounts, sharing insights with LA lead & Sector Specialist Teams.
  • Maintain comprehensive records of all engagement, interactions, meetings, phone calls, and emails using the CRM.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to ensure a cohesive approach to SRM firms, referring to Sector Specialists/Business Development Managers for expansion or job retention projects.
  • Engage with relevant industry associations and trade bodies.
  • Work proactively and collaboratively with the Head of SRM and SRM colleagues to deliver a valuable service to the region.
  • Promote the benefits of the SRM offer to businesses within the West Midlands.
  • Represent the organisationprofessionally at events and raise the profile of the region.
  • Undertake any other reasonable activities related to the delivery of the SRM service as requested.
Skills Required:
  • Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to engage at a C-suite level and leverage knowledge of key industries in the region.
  • Strong commercial awareness and problem-solving abilities to enhance our service offerings and address challenges effectively.
  • Consultative approach and project management skills to ensure effective execution of tasks.
  • Ability to identify and program tasks effectively in alignment with client company timetables.
