Job Description

Job OutlineThis position is spilt into two main areas of responsibility in supporting the distribution and logistical supply of products by Porcleanosa (Midlands) Ltd, through delivery of excellent customer service to internal and external customers. Reporting intothe Warehouse Manager, you will be actively involved in all areas of the business and this will be lead to substantial interaction with other departments and team members of all levels along with external suppliers.Keys skills and responsibilities of the job;

  • Being the focal point in the warehouse floor ensuring any inbound is located and maintained in the correct pick and overflow location
  • Organise all stock takes taking place throughout the year
  • Responsible to drive the business towards a less storage intensive model where the average storage time per order decreases
  • To provide staff with arrival times of special items/orders on daily basis based on daily inbound
  • Oversee the stock obsolescence data and implement promotions via all business lines to reduce the slow-moving SKUs
  • To be the first port of call for any stock queries from the Office or sales teams alike
  • Distribution of information regarding products and packaging updates from the factories
  • To support the warehouse manager with any collation of data/reporting required/ KPIs
  • To deputy for the manager during annual leave periods
Personal Attribute
  • Clear communicator, both written and verbal
  • Excellent telephone manner
  • Calm, confident and efficient manner. Must command respect too
  • Logical problem-solving skills
  • PC skills are essential
  • Experience using SAP is beneficial but not essential
  • Ability to multi-task
  • Strong attention to detail as a variety of products with various sizes exist and it is crucial the Customer receives the correct goods as there is minimal margin for error
  • Able to prioritise and respect deadlines
  • Able to work in a team
Education and Qualifications
  • Good standard of numerical and written literacy
  • Strong attention to detail as dealing with a variety of products
  • Previous warehousing background ideally dealing with stock
  • Previous experience in reorganization/reconfiguration of warehouses to further efficiencies willbe a bonus
