Job Description

Specification Sales Engineer - Building Management Systems BMSJob Title: Technical Specification Sales Engineer - Building Management Systems BMSIndustry Sector: BMS, Building Management System, HVAC, Building Services, Dynamic Control Valves, Smart Valve, Actuators, System Monitoring Software, General Valves, Safety Valves, M&E Consultants, Building Services Consultants, M&E Contractors, Heating Contractorsand plumbing & heating merchants and distributorsArea to be covered: NationalRemuneration: £48,000-£55,000 + up to 25% bonusBenefits: Fully expensed hybrid or electric car & full benefitsThe role of the Technical Specification Sales Engineer - Building Management Systems BMS will involve:

  • Field sales role, selling a new manufactured range of dynamic control valves (smart valves), actuators and system monitoring software as well as traditional mechanical valves
  • Acting as the Building Management Systems BMS product champion nationally
  • Working in a three person specification team supporting a team of field sales professionals that close the business with M&E contractors
  • Providing technical support and assisting the sales team in winning orders
  • Majority of your time selling into M&E consultants and building services consultants
  • Creating a CPD for the new product range and delivering it approx. twice per month
  • Eight meaningful customer visits per week
  • Develop and implement sales strategy for the new products
  • Develop and present training material
  • Generate quotations, technical submittals etc.
The ideal applicant will be a Technical Specification Sales Engineer - Building Management Systems BMS with:
  • Minimum 3 years experience in BMS or related services
  • Experience of HVAC and Building Services
  • Must have sold into M&E consultants
  • Proven track record in specification field sales
  • Proven aptitude for technical/ mechanical/ electrical
  • Credibility with M&E consultants and building services consultants
  • Building services industry knowledge
  • A thorough knowledge of the HVAC construction industry is essential
  • Business acumen and negotiating skills
  • Strong presentation skills
