Job Description

Job Title: Specialist Support TutorLocation: BirminghamSalary: £26,034 - £29,003 per annum (pro rata of £29,605 - £32,982) - SS4Job type: 37 hours per week, 40 weeks per yearUniversity College Birmingham works in partnership with the University of Warwick - Ranked eighth in the 2023 Guardian League Tables and 10th in the UK in the QS World University rankings 2023.The Role:An exciting opportunity has arisen to join University College Birminghams Disability Support team as a Specialist Support Tutor. You will be joining a growing team at an exciting time in UCBs development, which has seen the opening of several first-class teaching/ study environments.As a key part of the Learning Services directorate, you will join our experienced team to provide 1:1 academic support for HE students with SpLDs/disabilities, as well as providing students and staff with advice regarding support, exam arrangements, theDSA process, assistive technologies, SpLDs and disabilities.Candidate Requirements:You will have experience of supporting students who have an SpLD or disability in an educational setting and will have excellent communication and record-keeping skills. You will also be expected to be flexible in your approach to work and to act proactively.Benefits:
