Job Description

We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Internal Quality Assurer (IQA) to join our highly skilled and knowledgeable team within Capita Learning. Working as part of the apprenticeships team but specialising in the Operational Firefighter Programme you will ensure the efficacy and quality of the training delivered onsite at the Fire Service College.We are looking for someone with either a training or IQA background within the fire service who has good knowledge of the Operational Firefighter Programme. This role is critical to the success of the programme and will offer the successful candidate opportunities for growth and development within the business.This role can be home based however there will be travel required to the college and to visit learner around the country so the willingness to travel is a must.Capita Learning is a strategic learning partner to our clients, supporting our clients to deliver transformation in their business outcomes through effective learning interventions.Were supporting our clients as they adapt to a new world in the wake of COVID-19.   • Participating in the quality assurance process and follows up to ensure that all services meet company standards and legal regulations.
  • Where required, to be fully conversant with Skills Development Scotland Quality Framework (2018) ensuring these standards are fully embedded with all delivery and programme development
  • To ensure that all standards are met in line with the appropriate regulatory bodies expectations
  • To attend Awarding Organisations and End Point Assessment Organisations events within your SME remit and support approvals, sampling visits, audits and appeals.
  • To support internal inspection audit activities to review progress against internal and external quality framework
  • To maintain a caseload of skilled and competent Talent Coaches
  • To support stakeholders as required with client and learner queries, interviews, new business and performance management
  • To carry out observations of teaching, learning and assessment and promoting outstanding TLA through focused action planning and support
    • What we are looking for:
  • A background as an IQA within the fire service or fire service training organisation
  • Good knowledge of the operational firefighter programme
  • Excellent communication skills
  • To be fully conversant with the Ofsted Education Inspection Framework 2019
