They have an impressive and continually growing pipeline of projects, and as a result they now wish to expand their passionate team of of design engineersto facilitate future growth and success.In this role, the Design Engineer will be responsible for the design, estimation and cost analysis of utility-scale solar PV projects across the UK. You will work alongside the land team to identify new site opportunities and carry out yield assessments, usePVSyst and PVCase to design megawatt scale Solar PV systems, assist in completing grid connection applications and act as technical support to the team for design queries.The ideal candidate will have proven experience of designing large-scale ground mount solar PV projects and must have commercial awareness to ensure project optimisation.This is a fantastic opportunity for a Solar Design Engineer to broaden their career in the Solar PV sector in a role that will provide autonomy, technical challenge and the chance to positively impact the success of the business.The Role:*Responsible for the design, estimation and costing of utility-scale solar projects*Identify new site opportunities alongside land team and see through to active project*Carry out yield assessment to determine feasibility of potential sites*Work alongside grid team to complete grid connection applications*Remote and office based workingThe Person:*Degree qualified in engineering discipline*Must have experience designing ground mount systems*Experience using AutoCAD, PVCase and PVSyst*Must have commercial awareness of solar projects to ensure project optimisation*Full UK Driving LicenseThe services of Rise Technical Recruitment Ltd are that of an Employment Agency.
