Job Description

Software Engineer C# .NET, ASP.NET Core, RESTful APIs, Angular Fully remote - must be UK based£50,000 + Benefits This is a fantastic opportunity for you, an experienced Software Engineer / Software Developer, to join a thriving and growing team of developers building industry specific next generation SAAS products. This role offers you an excellent opportunity to grow within the business, and work with the latest technologies and engineering processes, within a product focused business with a 30-year heritage. Role overviewAs the Software Engineer, your main role is to design, develop and test features to a high quality. You will recognise the importance of testing and design as part of the standard engineering lifecycle. As a full stack developer, you will be working with backendASP.NET Core web APIs, SQL databases and an Angular SPA, hosted in Microsoft Azure.Responsibilities:As the Software Engineer / Software Developer, you will be responsible for:

  • Ensuring development work is developed and tested to the required standards before delivering to CI/CD environments.
  • Working closely with architects in all aspects of the design and development of solutions.
  • Following the coding structures and patterns in place within the existing product range.
  • Maintaining and resolving issues alongside the other engineers.
  • Collaborating with other members of the team, product owner and scrum master.
The engineers success criteria include:
  • Minimising future coding related support issues including bugs.
  • Maintaining a team ethic centred on the successful delivery of projects to agreed quality and timescale.
Technical Skills:The technical skills/experience required are:
  • C# .NET, ASP.NET Core, Web API
  • RESTful APIs
  • TypeScript, CSS, JSON, HTML5
  • Microsoft Azure (e.g. Azure functions, service bus, blob storage)
  • SQL Server/Azure - writing queries, stored procedures etc.
  • ORMs - Dapper, Entity Framework
  • General network knowledge: HTTP/S and asynchronous web communications
  • Git
  • Azure DeVops
  • Scrum Agile or similar Agile engineering process
  • Unit testing (NUnit, Jest or similar)
