Job Description

SOC ManagerUp to 80K (DoE) + Excellent Benefits package. Technical Projects, Firewalls, SIEM solutions, Endpoint Solutions, Security provisions, ITIL, Dynatrace, Azure, CISSP, Web Proxy, M365, Mimecast, Windows, Forcepoint, IDS/IPS, PCI DSS, Agile. Based in Birmingham City Centre, West Midlands plus WFH OptionsThe client is one of the UKs leading Legal firms who regularly generate £500m turnover per annum across the UK.If you are an IT Professional with a solid technical background who offers expertise in Security i.e. SIEM, MITRE ATT&CK and Microsoft suite of technologies. If you thrive on challenge in a dynamic environment, this role will offer you the opportunity to expandyour technical and personal portfolio.Providing specialised technical skills, knowledge, strategic planning and recommendations for improvement to meet the changing business requirements. As the SOC Manager - you will:

  • Remain abreast of industry best practices and emerging security issues
  • Keep up to date with hacking and social engineering techniques and mitigation techniques
  • Provide Security training material than can be used internally to educate our staff
  • Embed a culture that promotes IT Security
  • Establish an information security policy aligned to internationally recognisable standards
  • Maintain and improve security incident response procedures and playbooks including Security Incident Crisis / Emergency Management
  • Be responsible for the investigation and resolution of security related events from various security appliances and toolsets.
  • Promote the role and become recognised as the business SME for Cyber investigation leadership
  • Be responsible for configuration management of DLP on endpoint devices
  • Develop Key stakeholder relationships, lead digital investigations & data forensics requirements
  • Own the Information Security Incident Management / Response procedure, run periodic tests and recommend improvements

  • Microsoft Sentinel & Defender
  • Data Loss Prevention
  • Malware
  • Ransomware
