Job Description

Slitter Setter/Operator / Temp to perm / Aston / £10.00 per hourWe are currently recruiting for a large steel processing company based in the Aston area of Birmingham.You will be responsible for running the slitting line, setting and operating the machine as well as loading it with steel coils. To be considered for this role you will have ran the machine in the past and will have also operated overhead cranes and counterbalance forklift trucks.You will be responsible for and your duties will include;

  • Setting and operating a narrow slitting line
  • Working with stainless steel and aluminium
  • Operating counterbalance forklift trucks
  • Operating overhead cranes
  • Loading and unloading the machinery
    • The starting rate of pay for this role will be £10.00 per hour. You will be working straight day shifts 7:30am - 4:15pm Monday to Friday, with a 1pm finish on Fridays, totalling 39 hours per week. After a thirteen week probationary period through the agency you will be eligible for a permanent contract, though you should be prepared to work longer than this on the agency books.If you think this position is right for you, APPLY NOW!
