Job Description

SHEQ ASHEQ AdvisorModular Construction, Salary: Up to £35k + car & Benefits, Based; covering a regional area - Midlands and South of the UKWe require an experienced SHEQ Manager to work for a market leader who specialise in design and build off-site construction / modular building solutions and the hire of portable accommodation and cabins. We are keen to hear from NEBOSH qualified HSE Advisors/ Managers with experience from within construction, heavy industry or crane.The role:Covering sites, depots and projects in the Midlands and South of the UK, the SHEQ Manager will provide professional advice and assistance to the operational management teams. Ensure that Elliott operations comply with legal and internal HSE standards.Key duties:

  • Setting the standards and expectations for Health, Safety, Quality and Environment performance within the designated region to which you are assigned
  • Undertake regular site SHEQ inspections/Audits and assist the Site & Service Delivery Teams with closing out issues that are identified
  • Working with the wider SHEQ team to establish and maintain systems and processes that ensure we are not just compliant but operating to the high standard of safety we expect both in our sites and when delivering projects
  • To liaise with client representatives in order to establish good working relationships in relation to SHEQ management of sites.
  • Ensure incidents are recorded on our reporting systems and sufficient action and timely actions are identified to enable close out
  • To work with Operational teams to ensure risk assessments and other required operational documents are prepared and reviewed as necessary and if required to assist with their preparation and development
  • Report on trends within your region and implement actions and focused programs to deliver change within the business.
  • Support our training department through the delivery of mandatory training where relevant.
Candidate requirements:
  • NEBOSH General Certificate, NCRQ Certificate or above - Essential
  • Experience in either construction / hire / heavy industry or crane - Essential
  • Full driving licence - Essential
  • Desirable - Experience of ISO 9001/14001/45001 management systems (ideally internal/lead auditor qualified in at least one standard)
  • DesirableAppointed Persons / Slinger Signaller or Lorry Loader Operator trained
  • Desirable - Training delivery experience (PTTLS or equivalent an advantage)
  • Comfortable with extensive travel and ability to be flexible and reactive when required.
