Real temp to perm opportunityFree parking, warm team environmentEasily accessible from Birmingham city centreAre you an experienced industrial sewing machine operator If yes this is a great opportunity for you to join a well-established upholstery business based in Birmingham.Hourly Rate: £9.70 - £10 per hourWe currently have a great opportunity for an experienced Machinist/ Operator who must have experience of sewing all types of fabrics as the company manufactures all upholstered furniture, so candidates must have some experience in this type of industry. Thisis a permanent role, successful candidates will be offered full-time shift on a permanent basis.Duties for the Sewing Machine Operator role:- Follow an operating instruction for the particular job.- Complete requirements for stitching items using appropriate materials.- Draw threads through needles and adjust settings to meet the requirements of the order sheet- Able to work confidently and easily with all aspects of commercial upholstery, including: design of upholstery styles, measuring, cutting and running fabric machinery- Upholster in all styles, including plain styles, fluting and deep buttoning, working with vinyl, fabric and leather- Report any faults or discrepancies to the Team Leader.- Quality Control checks.Ideal candidate for the Sewing Machine Operator role:- Good attention to detail.- Excellent hand-eye coordination.- Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.- Minimum of 3 years experience in same industry is desirable.Interested or need more information Please click apply or email
