We need an experienced Aftersales / Service Manager who has the skills, drive and desire to take full ownership of our Aftersales / Service team - tasked with improving the running of the department and getting the very best out of a skilled group of ServiceEngineers. Run this department well - like your own business - and theres a potential step into a director level position in the medium term. Youll become part of the senior management team and shape the direction of the business There is a great salary, and an excellent benefits package including an 8% pension on offerJOB DESCRIPTION: Service Manager / Aftersales Manager / Special Purpose Machinery / Capital Equipment / PPMAAs our Aftersales Manager / Service Manager , you will take ownership of the Aftersales / Service department leading a team of 5 Service Engineers from our Alton workshop. Holding full profit and loss responsibility for the Service department once youre up to speed, you will manage budgets / engineering resource with a strategic approach to developing additional revenue across service contracts, spares & consumables. You will liaise with the sales team on new orders / installations and provide estimates on logistics and allocate engineering resource. You will manage new machinery installations including FAT (Factory Acceptance Tests) & Customer SAT (Site Acceptance Tests) You will work with customers to ensure service contract obligations are being met and resourced - maximising your engineers and charging out to clients as applicable. During periods of training, you will visit principal sites across Europe (primarily Italy).PERSON SPECIFICATION: Service Manager / Aftersales Manager / Special Purpose Machinery / Capital Equipment / PPMAYoure an experienced Aftersales Manager or Service Manager with a proven track record of managing budgets across a Service function. Youre a mechanically biased Engineer with experience of managing, mentoring, supporting, team leading a service or maintenance team.
