Server & Desktop Support EngineerBirmingham£32,000 + Holidays + Training + PensionAn amazing opportunity for a Server & Desktop Support Engineer to develop in a growing and established company in an exciting role, where you will be integral on making sure the desktop infrastructure is being run smoothly. They currently provide business communication solutions to clients withcustomer profiles ranging from 10 to 1000 users, including primary schools, colleges, and GP practices. Theyre looking to continue expanding, with several strategic acquisitions planned for next year.The ideal candidate will have previous experience working in a service desk environment, including experience with Panasonic, MPLS and Gamma Horizon. They will have had experience in providing 2nd line / 3rd line support. In this role you will be involvedin a wide variety of tasks ensuring issues of the desktop infrastructure run efficiently.This is an exciting opportunity to join a company offering progression to service desk manager and service delivery manager for the right candidate, alongside the chance to have a role in the companys growth and success.The role :

  • Responsible for own service ticket queue from 1st to 3rd line
  • Attending customer premises to resolve support issues (Company car provided for travel)
  • Ensuring Technical support for any hardware/software related issues to customers
  • Helping deploy and designing assisting technical projects with the Project Management Team
  • Liaise with 3rd party support providers when issues occur
The Person :
  • Worked in an MSP ( Managed Service Provider) environment
  • Service Desk experience
  • Microsoft Standard and
  • Enthusiastic and hardworking
  • Able to work hands on and wants to come into office
