Senior Manager, Strategy & M&A with a multinational Birmingham based listed business. This is a fantastic opportunity to support the CFO to help develop and execute strategy. Youll work closely with ExCo/Board and play a pivotal role in shaping long-termstrategy, identifying growth opportunities that achieve strategic goals and lead corporate development/M&A activities.Key responsiblities:* Drive the development of the corporate strategy, partnering with ExCo to develop strategic goals and priorities. Partner across the business to translate strategy into operational plans, helping analyse strategic issues, facilitate workshops and provide informedsolutions. Plan, manage and coordinate project teams to execute on key strategic initiatives.* Evaluate and analyse growth opportunities that meet strategic and financial objectives, conduct due diligence, and lead negotiations to facilitate strategic acquisitions or partnerships. Analyse and assess market and competitor developments against strategicgoals, and provide timely and insightful assessment of emerging trends, threats and opportunities.* Maintain relationships with external consultants and investment bankers to provide awareness of competitor and industry developments and assess long-term trends, providing insight to Group Office and business division teams.* Support the development and execution of M&A transactions by providing comprehensive financial analysis activities including building and utilising complex financial models, including risk and uncertainty analysis.Required experience:The ideal candidate will have a strong academic background and likely be a qualified ACA with previous experience gained in a similar M&A or strategy role (consulting or in-house) with a track record of successful strategy development and execution.* Experience in M&A, including valuation, due diligence and negotiation (adv.).* Excellent ability to communicate verbally/written and presentation skills.* Ability to work collaboratively in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.* Sound understanding of strategic drivers affecting the industry* Ability to rapidly gain credibility and influence outcomes at an Exec level* First-class project management and communication skills
