Job Description

Morgan Philips is searching for a Senior Compensation & Benefits Manager to join a company in Birmingham for a 12 month fixed term role starting in January. The role will pay up to £78,000 per annum and will be based 2 days per week in Birmingham with therest from home so applications for those on short notice who are further afield are welcome as long as you are comfortable traveling twice per week to Birmingham.The role of Senior Compensation & Benefits Manager is both a strategic and operational reward role supporting the Head of Reward in the ongoing development of the companies Reward strategy.The role encompasses both pay and benefits, and includes reward project management, co-ordination of annual reward deliverables, and provision of an advisory and analytical service covering all aspects of Reward and contributing to the effective delivery ofreward policies across the Company.

  • Overall management of the job description library, management of the process for running grading sessions and outcomes, liaison with Hay Korn Ferry on grading for senior roles, advising on best practice job description writing and review and challengingcontext rationale for re-grading
  • Co-ordinate and control administration of the job evaluation process, liaising with external suppliers and organising job evaluation discussions as necessary, ensure that evaluation rationales are prepared to the required standard and all evaluation recordsare accurate and up to date.
  • Co-ordinate the salary survey programme, including job matching, data preparation and submission, salary survey provider contract management and SLAs, conduct data analysis and present insights, pay modeling.
  • Design and co-ordinate the annual reward calendar activities including the pay review, flexible benefit windows, auto-enrolment. Provide advice on the full range of reward policies and processes to Heads of HR, HR Operations, line managers and employeesin order to ensure that informed and defensible decisions are taken within the constraints of agreed reward principles and policies.
  • Propose and assess feasibility for new reward initiatives to evolve the reward strategy.
  • Project manage key reward initiatives ensuring these are delivered to time, budget and including all relevant stakeholders.
  • Support the Head of Reward with a full review of the grading structure, to deliver a new grading structure that alleviates the current pay and grading challenges and is supported by all key stakeholders
  • Develop, obtain approval for and implement an annual operational employee benefits plan ensuring milestones, budgets and quality requirements are defined, approved and met.
  • Oversee the employee benefits programme, including end to end management of the tender process, procurement and implementation of the employee benefits programme across the business, and operational management of the employee benefits programme.
  • Work with the Head of Reward to provide specialist advice and related financial analyses in order to support the work of the wider company.
The role of Senior Reward Manager will be suitable for a seasoned Reward Manager with solid experience across both Compensation & Benefits.
