To ensure we continue to deliver successful IT Projects of strategic importance,were welcoming internal applications as we have a new opportunity available for a hands-on Senior IT Project Manager to join our Team.Reporting into the Head of Delivery & Technology, you’ll support Signet and our internal teams in delivering business benefits through the delivery of larger scale projects through to smaller agile sprint management. These may have higher levels of complexityor technical challenges. Ideally, you’ll be from a solid ‘hands-on’ IT project / delivery background with a strong track record of successfully managing multiple complex projects / enterprise deliveries and agile sprints within complex business and technicalrequirements A motivated individual who gets things done and is determined to succeed, you’ll use your commercial acumen and customer focus to ensure our projects are delivered on time and in budget.Responsibilities:•Hands on Lead of multi-scale deliveries to get work delivered on time, on budget to the stakeholder’s satisfaction, assisting where required, in budget building based on scope of work and resource requirements at the initial stages of inception.•Understand and clarify allocated deliveries, defining a suitable delivery approach dependent on the delivery requirements and manage through to transition and closure.•Predict resources needed to reach objectives and manage shared and dedicated resources in an effective and efficient manner across the teams and with other stakeholders / technical teams.•Work with vendors and suppliers to ensure quality of service, effective and efficient delivery and looking at opportunities for continuous improvement.•Support and guide escalations, analysis and management of risks, issues, and dependencies. Facilitate problem solving within project teams in the first instance.•Track project/delivery finances, balancing spend to release benefit and track and measure project performance to identify areas for improvement.About you:•A solid ‘hands-on’ IT project / delivery background with a strong track record of successfully managing multiple complex projects / enterprise deliveries and agile sprints with complex business and technical requirements that will be of strategic significanceis critical, on time and on budget.•Demonstrably strong RAID (risk, assumption, issues and dependencies) management, mitigation, and risk control experience•Demonstrable working knowledge of project initiation, planning and execution and transition will be evident, along with proven ability to manage significant business change/transformation challenges.•A track record of building strong relationships across senior stakeholders and with external partners and of positively influencing senior management and leadership teams, whilst also being able to engage with team members at a junior level.•Experience of providing expert advice and guidance on delivery and best practice / suitable solutions is highly desirable e.g., mentoring and / or coaching and supporting business project managers and other teams across the business on methodologies andproject / programme management tools.
