Job Description

Xpertise are currently working with a business in the Legal sector based in the West Midlands who are looking to add a Senior Project Manager to their business.In this role you will be responsible for the delivery of allocated budgeted projects within the ICT delivery portfolio to time, cost and quality levels, in addition to line management of Project Managers working on unrelated projects.You will also support the head of delivery in the continuous improvement of the businesss ICT and PPMO Management methodology, principles, information workflow and KPIs.The following experience is essential for the role -

  • Proven experience of delivering ICT, specifically digital development, programmes, projects, workstreams and managing associated teams.
  • Demonstrable experience of managing and improving processes and consistent adoption of tools and ways of working.
  • Experienced line manager, able to motivate and engage both technical and business teams.
  • Ability to plan proactively
  • Strong coaching and mentoring skills.
  • Outstanding communication skills, with the ability to communicate complex messages to a wider group.
  • Tangible stakeholder management experience and skills.
  • Experience of managing external consultants/suppliers under a statement of works (SOW) and/or call-off frameworks.
  • Strong project management skills including dealing with several projects, workstreams and stakeholders with competing deadlines and priorities
  • Problem solver, confident decision maker, and comfortable with accountability at a managerial level.
  • Experience in resource/demand management
  • Proficient Microsoft Office skills, especially MS Project/Project Online/Project for the web.
  • Experience with change delivery across multiple inter-dependent workstreams and/or business solutions.
  • Professional qualifications e.g. Programme Management, APMP, Prince2, Agile PM, Scrum certification.
The following experience is desirable for the role -
  • Experience in/with comparable business sector and similar sized organisation.
  • Strategic, holistic approach to the business and ICT; and
  • Experience in providing demonstrable alignment and priority between the business vision and strategy to ICT roadmap;
  • Work management experience with Microsoft Azure DevOps (or the Atlassian suite) for Agile delivery.
  • Successfully delivery of web apps/portals, mobile apps, client apps and cloud-based functionality, personalisation.
  • A broad understanding of the capabilities of Microsoft Dynamics365 Customer Engagement, Finance and Operations, Optimizely CMS.
