Senior/Principal Mechanical Engineer - Building Services Design - Birmingham city centre - Salary up to £65,000 DOECompany:This consultancyprovide mechanical and electrical building services design, net zero carbon, and responsible building advice for a wide range of developments including commercial, offices, industrial, residential and private medical projects. They have earnedthemselves a great reputation for their services and high-quality output.This is an employee-owned business with a multi-disciplined team of 38 engineers. They are currently refurbishing their office and adding in a breakout space with a dartboard and a games table.They are looking for a Senior or Principal Mechanical Engineer to hit the ground running.Responsibilities:
  • Design of commercial, industrial, medical, leisure, retail, extra care homes, residential and mixed-use schemes etc.
  • Production of drawings, reports and specifications.
  • Direct client and external team liaison on technical issues.
  • Project management & general co-ordination.
  • Management of suppliers/monitoring contractors.
  • Encouraging the use of sustainable design.
  • IT skills (including the ability to use industry standard software).
  • Senior - helping graduates/junior engineers. Principal - leading a small team.
What are they looking for:
  • Around 5+ years Building Services experience.
  • Degree qualified.
  • IES experience.
  • Ability to run own jobs and prioritize workload effectively.
  • Excellent written and spoken communication skills.
  • CIBSE member.
  • Full UK driving licence.
