A brand new, exciting job opportunity has arisen for a Senior Modeller with a focus on Hydraulics to join a national business that specialises in complex infrastructure and environmental projects based in Birmingham.This role would suit someone with a wealth of experience in hydraulic modelling used in water management and flood risk projectsSalary is negotiable for the right candidate due to niche skillset.This role will work closely with project managers and report into the Directors of the business.The main purpose of your role is to play your part within the team to fulfil these complex projects for reputable, blue chip organisations.Elements of the role:• Hydrological and hydraulic modelling, with an ability to influence the right solutions to water management and flood risk issues.• Using 1D/2D software packages such as Hec-Ras, Flood Modeler Pro, Innovyze ICM, and TUFLOW.• Hydrological analysis using Flood Estimation Handbook techniques and associated software packages, such as ReFH and WINFAP.• Completion of high quality reports for clients• Completing Flood Risk Assessments and Environmental Impact Assessment• Environmental Agency negotiations and flood map challenges.• Workload supervision and resource planning.The ideal person for this role needs:• Previous Hydraulic modelling experience or similar paired with knowledge of software packages• Working experience using a variety of Hec-Ras, Flood Modeler Pro, Innovyze ICM, and TUFLOW.• Strong report writing ability• Drainage strategy and Sustainable Drainage Systems (SuDS) experience is desirable.Therefore if you are interested in this great opportunity then please do not hesitate and apply
