Job Description

  • Co-ordinate and manage several complex investigations.
  • Independently perform investigations to achieve stated objective, including determining and developing investigation approach, and preparing investigation plan and reports
  • Lead or support interviews of individuals as part of an investigation
  • Perform the review of data and documents including emails and summarising the findings including preparing and retaining appropriate working papers and evidence
  • Drafting recommendations for agreement with the appropriate risk owners and stewards
  • Act as escalation point for issues relating to investigations, communicate with internal stakeholders including senior individuals
  • Understand risks for GIA and adhere to team policies
RequirementsTo be successful in this role you should meet the following requirements:
  • Extensive experience (5+ years) in conducting internal investigations or other forensic accounting projects or equivalent roles.
  • Experience of the regulatory framework across the financial services industry and products and services with working knowledge of the banking or financial services industry and associated regulations
  • Relevant qualification in accounting, compliance
  • Experience of conducting ediscovery reviews and use of relevant ediscovery platforms
  • Experience in attending and leading investigative interviews and preparing interview minutes
  • Ability to work with a diverse group of individuals at all levels, and build constructive and effective stakeholder relationships
  • Able to demonstrate taking ownership of deliverables, working independently and as part of a team. Proven ability to interact effectively with senior stakeholders on contentious matters
  • Strong written and verbal communication and analytical skills including advanced knowledge of MS Excel and MS Word and previous experience of big data analysis
  • Ability to exercise discretion, tactfully handle sensitive situations and confidential data, and complete assignments timely and to the required standards. Ability to prioritise and multi-task in order to meet tight delivery deadlines
