Job Description

Support the Audit Manager in the delivery of the internal audit plan, providing robust assurance over key controls.Client DetailsLeading not for profit organisation.Description

  • Develop internal audit methodology for core systems, reviewing application of automated controls and work flow, embedding data analytics into revised audit methodology.
  • Lead on delivery of core system audits including continuous auditing (heart beat audits) as directed by the Audit Manager, ensuring work is delivered and reported upon timely and to a high standard (complying with internal methodologies).
  • Deliver risk based internal audit assignments as directed, providing clear recommendations and robust assurance opinions within agreed timeframes.
  • Manage quarterly progress reporting on status of prior recommendations, liaising with and challenging senior management on implementation status following up to make sure recommendations are implemented.
  • Maintain awareness of changes and developments in regulatory, legislator and governance requirements in order to ensure that audit findings and department processes comply with best practice and sector requirements, and that emerging risks are adequatelyflagged and managed.
  • Manage the organisations Anti-Fraud framework, including the review, updating and analysis of the organisations fraud risk register, delivering the communications strategy and ad-hoc training and reporting outcomes to the Audit Manager.
  • Supporting investigations of allegations of wrongdoing as directed, liaising with management and support functions where necessary.
  • Build effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders to support business requirements.
Profile
  • Recent, relevant experience in the performance of internal audit in corporate environment.
  • Experience of preparing and delivering professional reports and presentations.
  • Experience of communicating effectively to a variety of management levels using a variety of tools.
  • Recent and relevant experience in the use of data analytics and computer assisted audit techniques.
  • Fully qualified IIA or recently qualified CIIA / CCAB or equivalent experience.
Job Offer
  • Competitive salary of up to £47,000
  • Home-based role
  • Hours: 35 hours per week / 70 hours over two weeks (nine-day fortnight)
