Job Description

We’re seeking a Senior Finance Operations Manager to join our Commercial Finance Team on a 12-month fixed-term basis.Senior Finance Operations ManagerLocation: Birmingham, B15 1LZSalary: circa £70,000, dependent on experienceHours: 35 hours per weekContract Type: Full Time, TemporaryReporting to our Financial Controller, you’ll have overall responsibility for the leadership of our Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable and Financial Systems teams; ensuring that they’re delivering efficient and adaptive financial services that meet theneeds of our stakeholder and support our organisational strategy. You’ll be the driving force behind the maintenance and improvement of strong financial compliance, robust financial controls and informed decision making; working closely with the wider financeteam and other organisational stakeholders to elevate the use of analytics and embed key indicators to instil a culture of compliance, performance and excellence.Midland Heart operates a Smart Working Model’, through which colleagues deliver services from the location at which they’re best delivered on any given day. This means that you can expect to work from our Birmingham Head Office a minimum of 3 days per week,with the option to work remotely for remainder of the week.Our ideal candidate will have:

  • Achieved fully qualified Accountant status (ACMA / ACCA / ACA / CA / CIPFA).
  • Proven experience of effectively leading and managing high-performing transactional finance teams.
  • Experience of managing financial systems.
  • Experience of managing and developing robust, organisation wide financial controls.
  • The ability to influence a range of business stakeholders up to senior Director level.
