Job Description

Senior DevOps Engineer - AWS, Linux, TerraformBirmingham / Remote - £75,000 - £85,000 + BenefitsApplause IT are proud to be working with a market leading software house in Birmingham who are seeking to add a Senior DevOps Engineer with extensive knowledge around an AWS cloud environment and infrastructure automation.This is a fantastic opportunity for a Senior DevOps Engineer looking to make their mark on some exciting and highly regarded projects. The company are passionate about being at the forefront of technology and so you will be invited to make suggestions onthe implementation of tech and new ways of working.The successful Senior DevOps Engineer will have experience and knowledge of the following:

  • Background within cloud computing environment (AWS)
  • Expertise with using Linux and experience working in a systems administrator, site reliability or other associated position (ideally using Ubuntu).
  • Proven commercial DevOps experience.
  • In depth experience with AWS services such as EC2, ECS, S3, RDS / Aurora, Route 53 etc.
  • Infrastructure automation experience, ideally using Terraform / Prometheus.
  • Experience of building and automating CI/CD pipelines.
  • Experience with containerisation (ideally using Docker and ECS or Kubernetes)
  • Experience with web / API server, such as Apache or NGINX.
  • Familiarity working in a development team that uses Software Configuration Management (SCM) concepts, version control (incl. Git).
