Job Description

Senior Client Accountant Permanent + Hybrid working (3 days in / 2 days WFH)Up to £38,000BirminghamCobalt is working with a highly valued global real estate advisory firm. With a wide European presence, this firm is dedicated to achieving outstanding outcomes and client needs. They are presently in search of a proficient Senior Client Accountant to becomepart of their energetic team based in their Birmingham Office.Duties:

  • Guide and mentor the team to uphold top performance standards and technical expertise.
  • Oversee and generate client accounting documentation, encompassing client statements, profit and loss, balance sheet reports, VAT and tax filings, occupier and client charges, reconciliations, CIS, rent deposits, bank and cash reconciliations, service chargereconciliations, query resolution, and organisation of supporting data as necessary.
  • Participate in client meetings as necessary, collaborating with clients to understand their requirements, interpret needs, and provide suitable responses.
  • Conduct financial analysis and data analytics, utilising business intelligence tools as applicable.
Person specification:
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook) and experienced in property management/accounting software like Tramps, Qube, Yardi, Horizon.
  • Experienced in leading accounting teams within property management or similar environments.
  • Self-motivated, adaptable, assertive, and conscientious with a professional demeanour.
  • Highly focused, organised, and deadline-oriented, managing multiple projects effectively.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with a commitment to customer service.
  • Demonstrates people management, mentoring, and interpersonal abilities.
