Job Description

My client is looking for an experienced Senior Bid Manager to join their growing team, who can manage the entire bids process from initial qualification through to successful acceptance by the customer. The role will coordinate responses to client requirementsand ensure that all bids meet the necessary financial and strategic objectives. This is a fully remote position requiring occasional travel to the Head Office in BirminghamClient DetailsMy client is one of the UKs leading fleet management companies and manages some of the largest and most critical commercial fleets across the country. They work with some of the biggest brands in the UK from a wide variety of sectors, including infrastructure,construction, security,utilities, social housing, logistics and facility management. They are based out of Birmingham, but have branches across the UK.DescriptionAs a Senior Bid Manager, you will be responsible for:

  • Taking ownership of a specific bid, acting as the single point of contact and managing the delivery and associated resources
  • Supporting the sales team through pipeline qualification in deciding to bid / no bid opportunities
  • Managing virtual bid teams and inputs from key stakeholders, and working with the sales lead to develop a clear win strategy for each bid
  • Preparing and reviewing the commercial aspects of the bid, ensuring all products & services are included in the final quote to the customer
  • Contributing to the written proposal, in terms of both content and presentation
  • Ensuring on-time submission of compliant and commercially viable bids
ProfileAs a Senior Bid Manager, you will have:
  • An ability to works with a high level of autonomy and handle many streams of information to develop a compelling bid response
  • Strong organisational skills in planning and delivering bids to ensure deadlines are met
  • Excellent writing skills to be able to build high quality, complex narratives and communicate complicated ideas simply and clearly
  • Experience of completing and submitting compliant and successful ITTs, PQQ, full bids and tenders, and an ability to handle multiple bids simultaneously
  • An ability to gather deliverables from a variety of internal and external stakeholders
  • At least Foundation level APMP certification (or similar qualification or experience)
