Job RoleSeafreight Operator - Birmingham My client is an independent Global Freight and logistics provider handling Road, Air & Sea, and WarehouseThe group employs over 1,400 people offices all over the UK, and the Republic of Ireland, plus freight teams in Belgium and the Netherlands and internationally in Hong Kong, China, India and the UAE. With a record turnover of £302m for the last 12 months andan ambitious investment programme this is a great time to join this forward looking global freight forwarder Position Summary: To build, manage and maintain relationships with key Air & Sea stakeholders and support the day-to-day operations through excellent customer service and attention to detail. We are currently looking for a Seafreight Operator to join the Sea freightTeam in the Birmingham office. You will take responsibility for the smooth cargo journey from ocean to delivery, efficiently and accurately operate all owned Seafreight import / export files. Providing updates for agents, customers, Customer Service and Business Development managersthrough phone and emailEnsuring all customs, shipment and operational costs are accounted for and applied and that goods are efficiently cleared for entry. Ensure that excellent and consistent service levels are met at all times. Check invoicing batches to ensure files are accurately costed and invoiced.
