Job Description

Sales Manager - Street Furniture & StructuresJob Title: Sales Manager - Street Furniture & StructuresIndustry Sector: Street Furniture, Street Structures, Metal Structures, Timber Structures, Canopies, Walkways, Benches, Bollards, Decking, Bridges, Outdoor Playground Equipment, Architects, Landscaping Contractors, Main Contractors, Sub Contractors, Local Authorities, Parish Councils, Housing Developers, Leisure Operators, Community Groups, Education, RetailsArea to be covered: National (ideally based in the South)Remuneration: £35,000-£50,000 (depending on exp) + uncapped commission (3-5% of all sales)Benefits: £500-£600 car allowance + benefits packageThe role of the Sales Manager - Street Furniture & Structures will involve:

  • Field based position selling the design, manufacture and install of timber & metal street furniture & structures such as: walkways, bollards, benches, decking, bridges, planters, climbing structures, vent structures
  • All of your time will be spent getting specified and selling directly to architects, local authorities, property developers, main contractors, landscaping contractors and sub contactors
  • For a range of project sectors for example: residential, education, health care and retail
  • Once up and running you will be expected to generate £1m turnover year on year
  • Average order value can range from £500-£50k+ depending on the size and scope
  • Majority of your time will be spent generating new business relationships with your existing contacts however will be given circa 130 projects that have already been quoted on and needs securing
  • Working closely with company Directors
  • The territory will include the whole of the UK however will have particular focus on the South (will consider anywhere will the right product and route to marker experience
    • The ideal applicant will be an Sales Manager - Street Furniture & Structures with:
  • Must have a construction field sales experience selling street furniture & structures such as: walkways, bollards, benches, decking, bridges, planters, climbing structures, canopies, vent structures or related products
  • Must have sold to architects, local authorities, property developers, main contractors, landscaping contractors and sub contactors
  • Must have a transferrable black book of contacts
  • Must have a hunter mentality and genuine desire to earn money
  • Experience of identifying new opportunities coupled with excellent account management capability
  • Musty have the ability to work independently as your own manager
  • Computer literate
