Safety Compliance Engineer - Birmingham - Permanent (Hybrid)- £60,000 Are you a dedicated professional with a passion for ensuring the highest safety standards in the aviation industry If so, we have an exciting opportunity for you as a Safety Compliance Engineer based in Birmingham. This is a hybrid role working 2 days in theoffice.Responsibilities:As a Safety Compliance Engineer, your primary role will be to ensure compliance with MAA Regulations, and you will achieve this through rigorous auditing and investigation into occurrence reports. Your responsibilities will include:Auditing and overseeing Base Maintenance activities in accordance with company procedures, policies, and regulatory standards.Demonstrating compliance with MAA Part 145, ISO, and AS9100 requirements.Conducting audits of suppliers and sub-contractors to maintain the highest standards.Performing unannounced audits, whether at the base or offsite, with short notice.Reporting findings and effectively interacting with staff at all levels.Utilizing your ability to change perceptions and opinions for continuous improvement.Performing data analysis of audit findings and generating meaningful metrics.Overseeing the MAA Part 145 Certifying staff authorisation system.Skills and Experience:To be the ideal candidate for this role, you should possess the following skills and experience:Appropriate training in Human Factors (HF), Fuel Tank Safety (FTS), Electrical Wiring Interconnecting Systems (EWIS), and Special Federal Aviation Regulation (SFAR 88).A detailed knowledge of MAA Part 145 and its practical application.Familiarity with Part 66 requirements.Previous experience in auditing within an aviation environment.The ability to qualify for an airside security pass.Understanding of the engineering authorization process.Sound knowledge of MS Office.Full-Time Role:This position offers a full-time role.
