Job Description

Marks Sattin are delighted to be supporting our client - a growing and entrepreneurial practice in recruiting a JIEB qualified individual for a Director / Partner Designate level opportunity within their Business Recovery and Insolvency team.Whether you are recently JIEB Qualified looking to be a licensed appointment taker or are already an experienced Insolvency Practitioner and restructuring specialist, this is an excellent opportunity to join a business where you will have the freedom tobuild and generate a network that can support the current team whilst also receiving further investment to strengthen headcount in the short term to support delivery on project engagements.This is an exciting opportunity for a finance professional that is looking to take the next step into a senior level role, whilst searching for a greater challenge in a business advisory firm with a clear strategic, commercial, and growth approach whereprogression to Partner is absolutely attainable in the not too distant future.Key Responsibilities:

  • Identifying and securing new business opportunities, including networking and business development
  • Leading and managing a team of professionals in delivering high-quality business recovery services
  • Providing expert advice on insolvency matters to clients and stakeholders
  • Representing the professional services firm at industry events and networking functions
  • Contributing to the strategic direction of the firm
Requirements:
  • JIEB Qualified, Insolvency Practitioner (IP)
  • Youll have a relevant accounting qualification
  • Minimum 8-10 years of relevant restructuring / distressed experience in a professional service or consulting firm environment.
  • Have extensive experience of managing projects, including Creditor side advisory mandates, Company side turnaround, independent business reviews, short-term cash flow reviews, accelerated sales processes, contingency planning and execution and insolvencyappointments such as MVLs, CVLs, CVAs and Administrations (including pre-packaged administration appointments).
  • Already have a developed network of contacts and will be generating work referrals either directly or indirectly. Youll take responsibility for developing and implementing marketing initiatives and lead the team in business development activity.

  • Commercial awareness and a results-driven mind-set
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
