Tradewind Recruitment are working on behalf of a primary school in Kings Heath, Birmingham, who are committed to providing an inclusive and high-quality of education for all students. We are currently seeking a dedicated and experienced Primary SchoolResource Base Teacher with expertise in working with children diagnosed with autism.Position Overview:We are looking for a qualified teacher to join our Resource Base team, specialising in supporting children with autism within a mainstream primary school setting. The successful candidate will be pivotal in creating an inclusive learning environment andimplementing effective strategies to meet the diverse needs of our students.Key Responsibilities:Individualised Education Plans (IEPs): Develop and implement personalised education plans to address the specific needs and goals of each child with autism.Collaboration with Support Staff: Work closely with teaching assistants, support staff, and other professionals to create a cohesive team that provides comprehensive support for children with autism.Differentiated Instruction: Implement a range of teaching strategies to accommodate various learning styles and abilities, ensuring equal opportunities for all students.Behavioural Management: Utilise positive behaviour support strategies to manage and address challenging behaviours, fostering a positive and supportive classroom environment.Parental Engagement: Foster strong partnerships with parents and guardians, keeping them informed about their childs progress and actively involving them in the development and review of IEPs.Qualifications and Requirements:Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) with relevant teaching experience.Specialised training or experience in working with children diagnosed with autism spectrum disorders.Strong knowledge of evidence-based practices for teaching children with autism.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.Ability to collaborate effectively with a multidisciplinary team.About Tradewind:
