Job Description

About the BusinessAn opportunity to join an exciting tech business with a turnover of £200 million and ambitious growth plans. We offer a remote-first working model with one day per month in the office, so you can enjoy the best of both worlds.As a Technical Finance Manager, you will be responsible for building and maintaining strong relationships with external financial stakeholders and the management accounting team. You will oversee the production of statutory accounts, tax returns, and ad-hocmanagement information requests, ensuring that all deliverables are accurate, timely, and compliant with all relevant regulations.Main Duties

  • Oversee the production of statutory accounts, tax returns, and ad-hoc management information requests, serving as the main point of contact for external financial stakeholders and the management accounting team.
  • Ensure compliance with HMRC regulations by preparing and producing corporation tax returns and tagging statutory accounts.
  • Generate insightful management information to support effective decision-making across the business.
  • Provide ad-hoc corporation tax and VAT advice as needed.
  • Maintain confidentiality of all information in accordance with GDPR.
  • Achieve objectives and targets set by line manager.
  • Carry out reasonable tasks as requested by line manager.
What We Are Looking For
  • Proven experience in a similar role within a fast-paced finance environment.
  • PQE experience in an accounting practice or commercial fast-paced environment.
  • ACA qualification or equivalent, or qualified by experience.
  • Demonstrable commercial awareness.
  • Excellent attention to detail and ability to effectively manipulate data.
  • Advanced Microsoft Office skills, especially Excel.
  • Good written communication skills and the ability to build and maintain strong relationships at all levels, both internally and externally.
  • Ability to work independently and use own initiative.
  • Excellent influencing and communication skills with the ability to develop strong business relationships with all key stakeholders.
  • Effective time management and ability to work to tight deadlines.
