Release Train EngineerWest Midlands - (Once a week in office)£75,000 - £80,000An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced and qualified SAFe RTE to lead the stand-up of a financial organisation. The RTE will work as part of the SAFe work-stream to lead the ART stand-up, coaching the teams to ensure the correct process and bestpractice is adopted.ResponsibilitiesWork with the Agile Release Train (ART) or group of Agile teams to prioritises the features to be considered in the next program increment (PI).Assist and facilitate the communication and coordination with all stakeholders and, in some cases customers, during feature definition and delivery.Ensure effective communication and coordination for and during and post quarterly planning.Manage change to the plan as well as the impact of those changes within the Agile Teams and ART.Drive cross-team and departmental impediments, planning, collaboration, and synchronisation.Understand and visually share and manage upstream/downstream dependencies.Work across stakeholders and, through Scrum Masters, the teams to continuously improve across the program.Manage the overall cost, schedule, and performance of the program.Analyse program budgets and estimates from participating organisations to provide direction for the overall development of all program budgets and integrated cost profiles.Actively practice servant leadership; as adopt a consultant/coach mentality when resolving unusually difficult problems with stakeholders.Participate with management and cross-functional teams as subject matter expert to develop and improve operating policies and procedures related to Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) or other large scale Agile frameworks and be an advocate for adopting Agile andSAFe best practices and processes.Being a galvanising force for sharing Agile and Scaled Agile knowledge across the organisation.Constantly refine and stay current with emerging themes in the larger Agile community.Develop/modify processes, policies, and procedures to facilitate the working relationship between Global Technology and its business functions / partners.Support the configuration of Scaled Agile to the needs of the organisation, standardising and documenting practices.Key CompetenciesCloud and infrastructure knowledge and experience is essential to be sucessful in this process, service delivery, program and project management skills are also essential. Lead and coach large complex teams (planning and organisation) Demonstrated RTE experience in organising, planning, and executing large-scale projects from conception through implementation.Ability to lead and facilitate large participant events such as PI Planning and Demos.Strong knowledge and experience in Agile "ticket" Management software such as JIRA or RallyStrong communication skills.
