Job Description

Are you passionate about making a positive difference in the lives of vulnerable children and young people Do you have the skills and experience to lead a team of dedicated staff in providing high-quality care and support If so, we want to hear from you!Our client is looking for a dual-registered manager for their children’s home in Birmingham (Smethwick and Great Pall). Our home provides a safe and nurturing environment for children and young people aged 8 to 18 who have complex needs and challenging behaviours.As the registered manager, you will be responsible for the day-to-day management of the home, ensuring compliance with Ofsted regulations and national minimum standards. You will also oversee the development and implementation of individual care plans, riskassessments, and safeguarding procedures. You will work closely with the children and young people, their families, and other professionals to promote their well-being and achieve positive outcomes.To be successful in this role, you will need to have:• A Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Residential Care or an equivalent qualification. Additional, relevant level 3 in Children and Young People• Significant experience of working in a children’s home or a similar setting• A proven track record of managing staff, budgets, and resources• A thorough understanding of the legislation, policies, and best practices relevant to children’s social care• A commitment to continuous professional development and learning• A flexible and adaptable approach to work, including the ability to work shifts, weekends, and bank holidays• A valid UK driving licence and access to a carIn return, we our client is offering:• A competitive salary starting at 35k per annum, depending on experience and qualifications• A comprehensive induction and training programme• Opportunities for career progression and developmentIf you are interested in this exciting opportunity, please send your CV to or apply online.Please note this post is subject to enhanced DBS checks and satisfactory background checks.
