Job Description

  • Job purpose - Quantity Surveyor - EV Commercial
  • About the role - Field Based (Midlands or Doncaster area) - Company Vehicle - 25 Days Holiday - Standard Company Pension rate .
  • Role requirements. - In this role, the Quantity Surveyor will visit commercial locations across the country to meet stakeholders and discuss the clients needs/specification. You will produce compliant electrical designs and formulate these into quotationsproviding clear and concise information. You will allocate and organise resources, conduct site visits to ensure regulatory standards, H&S and compliance requirements are met, report daily to senior management and give regular client update reports.
The ideal candidate will have proven experience of surveying and designing within the renewable/EV charging sector.This is an excellent opportunity to join an ambitious and highly successful business in a pivotal role where you will play a key part in the companys growth and success.About the role:Design the electrical installation required for the required renewable solutionProduce project quotations to comply with company parametersAssist in the management of regulatory issues which affect project permits, licenses, etc.Establish and maintain good relationships with suppliers, contractors and other external stakeholders.Ensuring quality of work and regulatory standards are adhered pre completionEnsure surveys/designs/quotations are completed on time and within budget whilst continuing to manage customer expectationsSalary £35-45k dependant on experienceYou will be provided with a company vehicle25 days holiday allowance - extra days holiday on your yearly work anniversary (up to 30 days)Company pensionKnowledge, skills & requirements:Ability to produce compliant electrical designs to the latest wiring regulations.Knowledge of electrical design programmes ie. Amtech Pro Design or Single Cable CalculationHealth and Safety - CDM Principals and the ability to produce RAMSExperience in the renewable energy industry to include Solar PV and Battery Storage systemsUnderstanding of Civils and Street worksDNO process - understanding electrical utility networks and technical knowledge of HV and LV electrical worksDesirable:Experience and understanding of related electrical utility networksExperience in the design and installation of electric vehicle charging equipmentElectrical qualifications; 18th Edition, 2391/2394/2395/2396 City & Guilds or similarExperience in Commercial EV Charging is desirableKey relationships:Senior Project Manager/Project ManagersProject CoordinatorSubcontractorsBusiness Development managersNational Sales ManagersdepartmentClient - Facilities/Property Managers etcThe person:Able to manage their time in an economic waySelf-motivated and has the ability to motivate othersFlexibility and "can do" attitudeExcellent communication skills, both verbal and writtenProblem solving attitudeAbility to travel to sites, projects and third party offices across UKExcellent computer and literacy skills to include working knowledge of Windows based software programmes Microsoft Word and ExcelFull UK driving license
