Job Description

Are you an experienced Quality Officer looking to join a fantastic brand with a reputation to match With an attractive salary on offer of up to £33,000 this permanent opportunity is to ensure effective quality assurance support to the quality manager& responsible person (RP) for the Good Distribution Practice (GDP) and ISO 9001 operations of the UK business to ensure compliance their clients, all external bodies and their own internal standards.Responsibilities:

  • Work closely with the Quality Manager / Responsible Person to ensure that compliance to the regulations are upheld.
  • Assist in the day to day management of the quality system to ensure compliance against GDP and ISO 9001 requirements.
  • Provide Quality Assurance (QA) support to initiate, engage and escalate critical and major compliance issues through QMS processes, including deviations, CAPAs and change control.
  • Manage and monitor the KPIs for the business, identifying trend areas and communicate to key stakeholders to drive improvement.
  • Co-ordinate audits in preparing and participate in hosting both internal and external audits with customers and regulatory authorities.
  • Support the maintenance of the annual supplier evaluation schedule to ensure compliance to process and QMS.
  • Support client onboarding and project implementations ensuring compliance to QMS activities including validation.
  • Liaise with all relevant stakeholders to ensure they are up to date and trained on QA systems, processes and changes.
  • Ensure that queries/issues are investigated and resolved including improvements, corrective and preventative actions in a timely fashion to minimise risks and costs.
  • Act as a quality assurance point of contact for the internal departments and customers to ensure compliance.
  • Previous quality assurance experience
  • Experience of reviewing SOPs, working instructions and quality agreements for customers and suppliers
  • Experience of working directly with customers and auditors
  • Presentation skills
  • Liaise with suppliers to ensure compliance to GDP activities and maintenance of GXP systems.
  • Support with the ongoing compliance with the European Quality System, report KPIs into EU QA team and attend monthly / quarterly meetings when required
  • Train and provide assistance to business functions on quality procedures, protocols, and documentation
Desired Skills (though full training will be provided as necessary)
  • Experience and/or knowledge of Good Distribution Practice (GDP)
  • Experience and/or knowledge of ISO 9001 and ISO 13485
  • Experience within the medical devices, pharmaceutical or healthcare sector
  • Experience in resolving customer complaints
  • Experience of deviation and CAPA resolution

  • Excellent IT skills
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Previous Quality Assurance experience
  • Strong attention to detail
