Job Description

An internationally recognised Precision Engineering business that supplies into various industries including Aerospace, nuclear and motor sport is seeking a Quality Manager Designate to lead their team. Due to a pending retirement they are now looking fora successor.39 hour working week (days), finishing at 13:00 on a Friday.As Quality Manager Designate you will be responsible for a team of 3 Quality Inspectors, ensuring customer standards are met and scrap is reduced. You will instil your team and the rest of the shop floor with your own high expectations, creating a united responsibilityfor the standard of components leaving the business. The current incumbent will show you the ropes before he retires, so you will be able to benefit from over 40 years of knowledge and experience before being left to it. As the go to person for quality, youwill be given free reign to make improvements and changes that enable the business to continue providing top quality products, whilst they undergo continued growth and versatility.As Quality Manager your responsibilities will include:

  • Develop and implement quality systems and procedures
  • Lead quality teams and projects
  • Conduct quality audits and reviews
  • Analyse and resolve quality issues
  • Work with suppliers to improve quality
  • Represent the company to customers and regulatory agencies
The ideal candidate will be an experienced Quality Engineer, who has worked within a Tier 1, Tier 2 or OEM in Aerospace, Nuclear or Medical sectors.
