Job Description

You have the chance to join a well-established business as their Quality, Health, Safety & Environmental Manager at a time where they are further developing their develop their management systems and drive a culture of improvement.Client DetailsAs a result of their ambition and developing new business, this market leading business is growing from strength to strength, further solidifying their place in the market. You will be instrumental in ensuring they continue to improve and drive best practicequality and HSE processes at their site in Birmingham.DescriptionAs the Quality, Health, Safety & Environmental Manager, you will be supporting the senior leadership team in implementing their improvement strategy and integrating their management systems. You will also be working across all functions within the businessin order to drive improvement initiatives and consistency across the board.Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the UK business strategy in delivery of systems that both meet and exceed the requirements of ISO management systems (9001, 14001, 45001, 50001).
  • Manage changes in legislation for the requirements of the relevant ISO standards and embed any required changes into the business.
  • Develop and embed suitable risk management processes in the business alongside the companys Programme Management team.
  • Identify business improvement opportunities within the organisation and make recommendations for implementation.
  • Introduce new systems and procedures where there are opportunities for improvement.
  • Regulatory Affairs team and ensuring all relevant matters of the UK Quality Management System are represented and actioned accordingly.
  • Provide detailed analysis of QMS KPIs to Senior Management on a regular basis, along with any recommendations to address emerging trends/issues.
  • Coordinate all quality related issues across the UK Business (operational and non-operational, product and non-product related) and ensure appropriate escalation both within the UK and Group functions.
  • Coordinate the UK business response to Occupational Health and Safety requirements and manage the relationship with third parties to ensure all health and safety matters (including required audits and inspections) are appropriately performed, documented,and controlled.
  • Drive the health and safety agenda within the UK business, coordinate points of escalation and implement remedial action as necessary.
  • Determine how the UK business is contributing to the group sustainability targets and ensure there is a local sustainability strategy for the UK Company.
  • Coordinate with audit providers (both internal and external) and ensure any corrective actions are resolved on a timely basis
  • Manage the companys certification in accordance with the document control system from third party bodies as appropriate.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders to ensure optimal performance and delivery of required objectives.
  • Work collaboratively, negotiate and engage with key stakeholders to facilitate delivery and compliance with the quality strategy.
ProfileThis role is suited to a Quality Manager with a desire to take on a broader role or a HSE Manager capable of managing a fully integrated system. The successful applicant will have experience of working within a manufacturing environment (ideally a regulatedindustry) and the following:
  • Degree qualified or equivalent (applicants qualified by experience will be considered)
  • Demonstrated experience and proven track record management ISO9001 standard (experience of auditing/managing other ISO systems in addition would advantageous)
  • A Continuous improvement mindset
  • Health and Safety and general compliance knowledge
  • A Proven track record of managing and delivering performance excellence
  • Ability to successfully manage a variety of cross-functional stakeholders
  • Excellent communication and influencing skills at all levels
