Job Description

Quality EngineerCompetitive Salary Birmingham Full time | Permanent | Monday to FridayAre you a quality engineer with project experience Looking for a new challenge and to join a growing family-owned companyAttega Groupis currently partnering with our client in recruiting a Quality Engineerto join the team. The main purpose of this role is to support with new project activities which may require coordination of work internally or externally with customers and being involved in PPAP and APQP activities and to effectively communicate status of work, progress andplanned actions. In return, our client is offering a competitive salary, depending on experience, plus 25 days annual leave plus bank holidays, employee assistance program, pension scheme, flexible working policy, free on-site parking and further training & development.This is a full-time, permanent role and office based which may include customer visits when required. The hours of work will be Monday to Thursday 8am to 5pm and Friday 8am to 3pm. As a Quality engineer, your responsibilities will include:

  • Attend customers project meetings.
  • Complete measurement studies
  • Gauge R&R studies
  • Finish the PPAP documentation packs for the projects
  • Liaise with internal teams along with the customer with updates on the work
  • Promote continuous improvement and development in all areas
  • Conduct internal audits as part of the QA Team
  • Support department when needed.
The ideal candidate:
  • Qualification in Quality related discipline
  • Have been in a quality engineer role
  • Experience with customer APQP / PPAP
  • Understanding and being exposed to Project Management, Customer Liaison, ISO 9001:2015
  • Using Excel for gathering, analysing and presenting data.
  • Ability to drive actions to various projects stages
  • Understanding and adhering to Health & Safety requirements
