Job Description

Job Title: Qualified Social Work Lead Officer- Sandwell - ADULTS Specialist Practitioner AMHP / BIALocations: SandwellPay Rate: £19.85 - £23.25 per hourLocation: SandwellContract Length: 3 monthsWorking Hours: 18.5 hours per week

  • Must be a qualified Social Worker with Adults Social Work management experience
  • Managing the day to day operational business of the team
  • Ensuring the successful delivery of team and service objectives
  • Managing expectations in terms of the Care Act, Mental Capacity Act, statutory safeguarding duties and corporate policies
  • Driving the improvement and performance frameworks, with regular staff supervision
  • Implement, monitor and review the use of Prevention and Re-ablement services and the use of community offers
  • Focus on the customers outcomes, will also contribute to the strategic outcomes of Sandwell MBC and partner organizations
  • To have knowledge and understanding of relevant legislative and regulatory framework and Government initiatives relating to your service area, including safeguarding, and the needs of vulnerable adults.
  • To undertake specific duties and responsibilities determined by the line manager and senior managers to enable the team to achieve its goals and objectives
  • To be responsible for the day to day management of a service area, including practice, standards, quality and performance.
  • Ensure own continuous professional development around emerging research, case law and other relevant policy or procedural changes.
  • To work closely with the ASYE and apprenticeships programme to support placements in the service area and provide supervision as required
  • To undertake chair role in safeguarding case conferences
  • Must hold an Enhanced DBS with Adult Barring
  • Must be able to work unsociable hours if required
