Job Description

Closing Date: 20/03/2022Are you an experienced and well organised Project Management Professional looking for your next big opportunity If so, Birmingham 2022 is looking for YOU!You will play a crucial role in ensuring a safe and successful Games by overseeing the general management of the installation, commission/decommission and removal of physical security and technology equipment, such as CCTV and fencing at all Games venuesacross the West Midlands. You will also be responsible for liaising with key internal and external stakeholders and ensure all KPIs are set, measured and reported.The right person will come from a strong project and/or program management background, ideally with experience in working on large scale installations, venues and/or events.If this sounds like the role for you, come join our team and APPLY NOW!Responsibilities:

  • Coordination with internal and external stakeholders involved in the mobilisation, installation, commission, decommission and removal of the technology element (CCTV, HVMs, Fence) related to the Games physical security overlay trough program managementand QA.
  • Liaise with the Design Service Provider (DSP) and West Midland Police (WMP) Subject Matter Experts (SME) in the evaluation of the change requests.
  • Participate in the suppliers contract management effort supporting the Security System Delivery Manager (SSDM).
  • Manage the mobilisation, installation, commission, decommission and removal of the technology element (CCTV, HVMs, Fence) related to the Games physical security overlay ensuring KPIs are being set, measured, and reported.
  • Alongside with West Midland Police (WMP) and Centre for the Protection of National Infrastructure (CPNI) Subject matter Experts, generate lessons learned reports in relation to the mobilisation, installation, commission, decommission and removal of thetechnology element (CCTV, HVMs, Fence) related to the Games physical security overlay.

  • Bachelors degree or equivalent work experience.
  • In-depth knowledge of physical security and infrastructure deployment.
  • Ability to interact with multiple stakeholders in an organised way.
  • Previous experience in project management.
  • Proven experience of working within a similar project or program.
  • Good understanding of the UK threat level and implications of any change to the threat level.
