Job Description

Job Title: Project Landscape ArchitectLocation: Birmingham, West MidlandsSalary: £35K - £40KPosition Type: PermanentPremier Engineering has engaged with a key client and a well-known multidisciplinary practice comprising Architects, Landscape Architects, Masterplanners and Interior Designers. With a diverse range of award-winning projects under our belt, in both the public and private sector, they offer services nationally and internationally from our four studios across the UK.Due to an increased workload of new and exciting projects, we are offering an excellent opportunity for a Project Landscape Architect to become part of the creative and collaborative team in the Birmingham studio.ROLETo work directly with the Head of Landscape and senior management teams on the design and development of projects from concept stage through to completion, and input/assist in developing the Landscape business and portfolio.The role will be as a Landscape Architect working from our Birmingham studio, leading and delivering on landscape commissions and working directly with the in-house team of architectural staff, external clients and external design teams comprising subconsultants working on a wide variety of schemes and projects, such as Strategic/ Master-Planning, Mixed Use, Residential, Educational and Commercial throughout the UK.You may also be required to travel occasionally to our studios in Sheffield for training and meetings, as well as to our studios in London and Kent.TYPICAL RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Develop and deliver Landscape projects from concept through to completion (for all work stages on both D&B and traditional contracts)
  • Prepare concept design sketches and develop design/detail utilising CAD Software/ArchiCAD in BIM.
  • Responsibility for the day-to-day management and administration of Landscape projects.
  • Communicate and engage with the multidisciplinary team, clients and external consultants.
  • Prepare all drawn information, specifications and schedules associated with typical Landscape Architecture services.
  • Develop deliverables schedules and design programmes.
  • Co-ordinate the production of visualisations and animations using CAD/3D model with the team.
  • Production of reports and any other documents necessary for projects.
  • Attend and report at Design Team meetings and co-ordinate meetings and workshops.
  • Attend client/stakeholder meetings to present designs and reports.
  • Ensure the landscape design is kept within the client’s set budget and on programme.
  • Assist with the compilation of bids, tenders and competitions.
  • Attend interviews as necessary.
  • ABOUT YOUThe role will suit an experienced Landscape Architect with minimum of four years’ post-Chartership (or similar) experience who is looking to develop their career within a growing business. Demonstrable skills in leading and delivering complex schemes of varying scale, with good level of technical design competency and proficiency with CAD, the candidate must also have a good level of graphical talent and sound knowledge of the UK standards and planning system.An understanding of the sectors in which we operate will be helpful but is not essential. My client is at the leading edge of BIM, using Archicad and 3D modelling as our CAD authoring software and though previous experience of BIM and Archicad is not necessary, a commitment to learn these is essential and training will be provided.Sound interesting Please co tact Daniel Warby at Premier Engineeirng for further information and apply!
