We are currently recruiting on behalf of a large housing provider in the East Midlands for a Project Delivery Manager on a permanent basis.You will need to have excellent knowledge of Construction and proven experinece of working for a main contractor.Key responsibilities· To take the lead in the delivery on an NEC or JcT contract project as the client nominated project manager able to understand the administration of the contract and lead the project and Main Contractor to the successful delivery.· Work closely and collaboratively with colleagues in the Development Department, in the Directorate, the wider Commercial Company, and the Housing Association.· Ensure that projects are effectively managed in accordance with business objectives and scheme approval and accurately reflect costs, income, funding, programme and quality requirements to optimise the benefit to the Group and contribute to its core business.· Build and maintain relationships with Local Authorities, Developer Partners and other key stakeholders.· Effectively manage, monitor and control project budgets and ensure that programmes are delivered to time· Undertake project / construction management duties on projects within agreed time, cost and quality constraints.· Manage projects to ensure that the quality of building construction meets our requirements.Experience and pre-qualification criteria· Minimum Degree or equivalent in a development delivery role or construction related field.· Proven track record with a main contractor building residential construction.· Professionally qualified to a recognised construction institution.· NEC 3 accredited Project Management certificate.· Proven experience within a housing development or other property based commercial organisation.· Thorough knowledge of the development and construction process from inception and feasibility through to completion, handover and operation.· Experience of delivering projects across a range of tenures including low cost home ownership, rented, market sale housing, and commercial tenures.knowledge and experience of contract administration, including interim payments, design management, change control, quality management and final certification.· Experience of successfully delivering projects and controlling time, cost and project quality and using various forms of procurement including OJEU, Frameworks, Development Agreements and Joint Ventures.· Able to work to and meet agreed targets and deadlines.· Proven track record of cross team working and cooperation across the business.· An understanding of delivering phased regeneration projects.· Experience of successful engagement and working with development partners including Local Authorities, private developers, funders, grant making bodies and internal and external projects teams.Annual £86-£94k plus excellent benefits - Sites are across Birmingham one coming up in Chester.
