Role: Production SuperintendentLocation: BirminghamSalary: £Competitive + Company BenefitsOur client, an international leading manufacturing company based in Birmingham, is recruiting for a Production Superintendent to join their rapidly expanding company.To supervise and work alongside the Team Leaders to ensure the smooth day-to-day operations of production. To maximize machine efficiencies, product quality, and uptime with a constant focus on health and safety, and quality. To monitor, communicate and managecompliance of Company policy and standards throughout the Production Department.Your role will include:- To monitor, report, analyse and act on machine efficiencies.- To support Production Team Leaders in their day-to-day duties- To monitor, analyse, evaluate, and formally record process parameters to ensure thatequipment runs at optimal levels achieving required Uptime, Speed Efficiency and QualityKPIs.- Work with maintenance to improve the reliability of assets and ensure faults are diagnosed and reported accurately.- To accurately manage the downtime system and report on a weekly/monthly basis usinggraphs and other visual aids.- To carry out risk assessments, workplace inspections/audits and write/revise SSWs.- To drive the Lean 6s approach through projects and improvement activities in the production area. - To select projects and activities with a target to improve production KPIs and actively involve the necessary personnel for successful completion.- To work with Production Team Leaders to manage personnel situations which may include the use of the Companys formal discipline and grievance procedures.The Ideal Candidate:- A wide range of experience gleaned on PM4 or equivalent paper machinery.- Knowledge of Health & Safety, Quality, and Environmental regulations.- HNC or Equivalent - gained or in the process of being gained- Lean 6 sigma Green Belt (Desirable)- Familiarity of basic lean tools such as 5s / SOPs / KPIs- Proficient in Word and Excel with the ability to generate graphs from data collated- Willingness to attend off-site meetings with the potential for them to be overnightAt KHR we take care to ensure that you are represented as well as possible so it is worth checking your CV for layout, spelling and grammar as well as making sure it is up to date before you submit.
