Production Manager £45 - £50KRequirements: Man management, continuous improvement, change management, FMCG, data analysisKey to this role is proven experience of coaching & development, supported by strong analytical skills and the drive to push through cultural change.Coming from a fast moving, high volume environment, you will have several years experience in manufacturing management combined with technical acumen and a practical knowledge of manufacturing systems. Ideally qualified to Six Sigma or higher you will have experience in project management and leadership.Reporting to the Operations Manager, you will be responsible for managing a 24/7 manufacturing facility with 4 direct reports and 200 indirect reports.A major emphasis of the role is the development of the supervisors and team leaders, both in terms of their knowledge base and also approach. You will by making data lead decisions to impact the culture of the business. Summary of Main Duties & Responsibilities: Supervision of 4 direct Supervisor reports and a further circa 200 indirect reports providing direction and strong leadershipResponsible for the deliverance of customer targets, quality, productivity, OEE, WIP, ops/business excellence and wasteResponsible for the budget of labour productivity and effective control costs to meet the financial plan for the site.Manage performance improvement initiatives and key performance measures within the manufacturing unit eg asset utilisation and first time yieldsPromote and manage the continuous improvement and lean manufacturing activities within the department to achieve business objectivesEnsure multi-functional engineering teams support product lines and are operating effectivelyDevelop effective two-way communications within the departmentCoach and mentor the module supervision teamEnsure business results are maximized by effective team working at all levelsEnsure adherence of TS16949 and ISO14001Ensure forward plans are developed to meet customer requirements in terms, shift manning and skillsDevelopment of employees including succession planningReview the structures and skills to ensure the continued motivation and development of the workforce in a team environmentDrive a culture to develop self empowered teams and to ensure they are encouraged to develop their skills to match business needs and the power to stop linesCo-ordination of department activities / allocate resource & prioritize workloadPrepare, review and present to the team along with regular PCC attendance to pick up and allocate resource to production critical product lines / processes
