Job Description

Our client, a leader in the medical device market, is looking for a Product Specialist to join their professional team in the Midlands.Product Specialist£35,000 - £37,000 Depending on Experience + Pension + CarCovering the Midlands Region - Travel RequiredPostcodes: B, DY, ST, SY, TF, WS, WVFull Time, Permanent RolePlease Note: Applicants must be eligible to work in the UK.Our client provides specialist products and services within the Healthcare Market.As a Product Specialist you will promote and increase the usage of our clients complete portfolio, comprising Stoma devices, Wound Care, Urology and Continence product range and their Home Delivery Service through all Hospital and Communityoutlets and Wholesalers.

  • You will be responsible for the management and smooth running of your defined territory.
  • Key performance Indicators to be achieved such as sales v target and customer activity.
  • You will ensure that you are aware of all opportunities available to further increase our clients market share.
  • Regular reports on your territory achievements, competitor analysis and promotional activities are to be submitted in a timely manner.
Key Responsibilities:
  • To actively sell products and services in a professional and structured way, with relevant product presentations, incorporating features and benefits.
  • To work every Hospital and primary care area as required, maximising selling time and minimising travel time.
  • To formulate a journey plan that will ensure that customers and potential users are regularly visited and given the highest possible standards of service.
  • To be highly knowledgeable on competitors products and how to sell effectively against them.
  • To maintain accurate territory records.
  • To implement the strategy and tactics as directed and maintain business plans.
  • To work with local SCNs and nurse bases to formulate joint activities to maximise product and HDS usage.
  • To work with local ISC Clinics and specialist clinic teams to maximise product and HDS usage.
  • To actively seek out and report to management any procurement landscape changes.
  • To maintain all company equipment in first class condition.
Essential Requirements:
  • Proof of Covid-19 Vaccinations.
  • Proven experienced sales person in both remote and face to face selling environments.
  • Experience of medical sales in at least one of the therapy areas: stoma devices, wound care, urology and continence.
  • Experience of dealing with the NHS, Hospitals and community - including procurement, pharmacy and key opinion leaders including understanding of the new NHS landscape which includes ICS and PCNs.
  • Proven excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Customer focused with a proactive and "can do" attitude.
  • Analytical and enquiring mind.
  • Experience of budgetary control.
  • Influential/persuasive and able to demonstrate initiative and success.
Desirable:
  • Experience of managing a large territory.
  • Key Account management experience.
  • Experience of working in the Medical Device Industry.
  • Registered nurse.
Working Hours:Monday to Friday, 9.00am to 5.00pm, with 30 mins lunch.Travel:You will be required to travel on a daily basis, but currently some of these visits will be held virtually. You will be required to attend meetings at Head Office and attend exhibitions and conferences which may necessitate overnight stays. Very occasionallyyou may be required to work weekends to manage stoma patient events.Covid 19: Due to new Government regulations which came into force in England on 11 November 2021, staff requiring entry into care homes, and from April 2022 staff requiring access to NHS hospitals, are expected to provide evidence that they have had a full courseof a Medicines and Healthcare products Regulatory Agency (MHRA) approved Covid-19 vaccine, or that they come within a specified exemption.Our client has staff who will, in order to carry out their roles, be entering the Care home and NHS Hospital environments, therefore they need to be able to validate that their staff meet this criteria to the individual care homes, hospitals and CQC (foraudit purposes).Benefits:
