Alexander Daniels are recruiting for a procurement assistant to join a growing business based in Birmngham City Centre.*Act as an interface between suppliers and other relevant departments on purchasing processes and new projects and activities.*Support the purchasing function and other relevant departments and communicate any supply problems which may impact on business operations*Keep the procurement procedure updated.*Regular liaison with suppliers, and internal teams*Key day-to-day contact with engineering teams to keep track of all orders.*Keeping the forecasts and cost sheet updated for cost control.*Handling UK imports & export activities for items procured and keeping a record of all relevant import documentation.*Supporting team in seamless import and export*Build, maintain and manage supplier relationships and keep up good communications*Chasing suppliers for any delays and keeping trackers updated.*Prepare, get approvals on purchase order requests and raise purchase orders.*Contact suppliers to resolve price, quality, delivery or invoice issues
