Job Description

You have the opportunity to join a specialist manufacturer in North Birmingham. As a Process Engineer, you will be part of a business that is centred around customer satisfaction, focusing on process capability and product reliability. You will assist themanufacturing and support areas of the business to improve the process on site.Client DetailsThis growing business is a market leader in their sector & produces an array of products. As a Process Engineer, you will play a vital role in the growth of the business in the coming years.DescriptionYou will have the opportunity to join a progressing team, as a Process Engineer, working for a company that is the market leader in their industry.Key Responsibilities:

  • Investigate any faults, determine their cause and find solutions
  • Take ownership of a production area and ensure it is run to optimum levels
  • Ensure all remakes within your production area are fully investigated and reported to the Quality Manager
  • Complete process, operation and procedure documentation, adhering to company standards
  • Complete tasks with the mindset to improve Quality, Cost & Delivery
  • Support Lean Methodology implementation where necessary, including 5S and CI
  • Support the manufacturing operation to resolve issues wherever they arise
  • Support the quality department to develop PFMEAs for processes within your responsible area
  • Provide reports and communication to members across all levels and departments of the business
ProfileThis role is suitable for a Process Engineer, ideally with a chemical/mechanical background. The successful applicant will also have the following:
  • A recognised Engineering qualification
  • Experience working as a Process Engineer or in a similar role
  • Effective communication with members across all level of a business
  • Some knowledge of electronic manufacturing
  • Ideally, experience working within a safety critical manufacturing environment
  • Willingness to learn and progress your career
