Job Description

Priority Repairs Manager Location: Birmingham & Surrounding Areas Salary: £64,084 per annum Hours: 39 hours per week Contract Type: Full Time, PermanentThe RoleWe have an exciting opportunity for a capable individual with excellent man-management skills and experience in our In-House Maintenance Team as a Priority Repairs Manager.As the Priority Repairs Manager, youll provide effective management, diagnosis, delivery and detailed reporting of all Priority Repairs including issues such as Damp & Mould. Youll ensure that all priority repairs are delivered in a timely, cost effective,customer focused and safe manner in line with budgets and legislative requirements.Please note, a full UK driving license is essential to be considered for this position.Your day-to-day responsibilities will include:

  • Lead and motivate a team consisting of a Contracts Manager, Priority Repairs Supervisor and 2x Customer Liaison Managers, to deliver a high-quality priority repairs service.
  • Engage with internal and external partners in a collaborative approach to tackle the root cause of priority repairs issues such as Damp & Mould.
  • Produce regular operational and compliance reports for priority repairs and provide assurance to the leadership team that any issues have been managed and dealt with within agreed timescales and processes.
  • Assist in the development and review relevant budgets ensuring expenditure is robustly managed in line with Midland Hearts financial controls.
Our ideal candidate Youll be educated to HNC or equivalent technical level of expertise in a Building Construction, maintenance or compliance related discipline demonstrated through significant work experience. Youll also have demonstrableexperience of operational management in a construction, maintenance or building safety compliance related sector. An updated knowledge around the issues commonly faced in Social Housing Sector, such as Damp & Mould, is also heavily preferred.Who are Midland Heart We are a large and ambitious housing organisation providing people an affordable place to call home.
